'New Beginnings - Your Journey to Freedom' (NB-YJF)
NB-YJF is a structured, faith-based recovery education program designed for small-group settings within churches and communities. It explores themes of emotional, spiritual, and relational growth through guided reflection, shared learning, and practical tools that encourage personal responsibility and sustainable life changes.
The program is shared with sensitivity to the impacts of emotional pain and life disruption and is delivered within a supportive group environment. Participants are gently encouraged to engage in reflective sharing as part of the group process, including the sharing of a moral inventory at a designated point in the program. Participation in sharing is guided with respect for personal boundaries, individual readiness, and group safety, and is overseen by the program facilitator/s.
NB-YJF complements existing pastoral care and appropriate professional support; it does not replace them.
Program Materials & Cost
Participation in NB-YJF requires the use of the official participant workbook. The workbook contains the structured reflections, exercises, and session content used throughout the program and is required for all participants.
A small fee applies to cover the cost of the workbook. This is the only cost associated with the program (If the cost of the workbook presents a barrier, participants are encouraged to enquire about alternative arrangements before commencement). No additional books, resources, or payments are required to take part in the program.
The NB-YJF Workbook is available through your group Facilitator.
Note: NB-YJF is designed for use within church or community settings. Hosting organisations retain responsibility for participant care, safeguarding, and complaint handling. The program author provides educational resources only and does not offer counselling, pastoral care, or crisis support.
